Accordionist extraordinaire Emma Wollum is a glittering star of The Wellington City Shake-‘Em-On-Downers. Known for throwing herself at European royalty and being the musical director for Industural Burlesque Collective‘s Zomberlesque. She’s ace and super-duper talented.

Meet Surlie J Temple, all the way from Denver, Colorado the kick-arse queen of crochet. Surlie has recently been on the The New Zealand Burlesque Festival tour around the North Island and performing with the talented duo Tease & Trouble Productions in the South Island. On top of all that she will also be preforming at The Menagerie on November 23rd. Want more? You’re in luck, Surlie will be selling a few of her unique crochet creations at the show.

Victor Victorious and Clever Hansel have dazzled Wellington audiences in many forms. They are a singing, dancing, comedic, stripping, producing duo who leave a trail of glitter, mayhem and occasionally corpses.  In November Victor & Hansel have been given free reign to come up with something, anything entertaining. Oh, and it will be entertaining. Victor aka Snakeyes aka Eli leads the Industrial Burlesque Collective, responsible for shows such as Zomurlesque and Mother Russia Cabaret. Check out the IBC facebook page, they are into long names and lots of acronyms.

Daniel John Smith is just trying to explain the things that bewilder him in this world. He lacks shame and finds it somewhat difficult to be a person. His comedy is mainly story based and observational.

Rachel Rouge, the hostess with the mostess

The brains, brawn and booty behind The Menagerie is Rachel Rouge. This fierce redhead has been strutting, stripping and seducing for over 10 years. She cut her stiletto heels on the grand wooden stages of Scotland where she was a regular in the emerging cabaret scene and Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival. She’s headlined all over the UK, in Italy, Australia and the US. Rachel’s performed at the Senigalia Rockabilly Festival, in the Edinburgh Museum, the World Famous Spiegel Tent and some of the sleaziest dive bars in the western hemisphere. Rachel’s solo show won the Best in Comedy award at the 2012 NZ Fringe Festival and received rave reviews for her New York season.
